GeoLINK is currently undertaking an exciting new stage of the Lennox Epiq (previously Pacific Pines) project.

As part of the project’s consent conditions, GeoLINK’s ecologists donned gum boots and were digging through the wetland to locate the threatened Square-stemmed Spike Rushes (Elaeocharis tetraquetra).

This sedge is partly located within the proposed subdivision footprint therefore we are carefully collecting, dividing and growing them in a local nursery to be re-planted within the protected conservation management zones of the proposed subdivision.

They are currently in a hot house to encourage growth so that they can be re-planted in late Autumn.
